Roster

How many players each manager starts each week, how many sit on the bench, and how many injury-reserve slots they get. Squad size is starters + bench — that's what gets drafted. Injury reserve is extra room on top, and only holds an injured player, so it never costs a draft pick.

Draft limits

How many of each position a manager must finish the draft with, and the most they may take. A max refuses the pick outright; a min is a rule about the finished squad, so it starts biting near the end — once a manager has only as many picks left as positions still owed, those are the only picks left to them. Leave a max at 0 for "no limit". These apply to autopicks too.

Starting lineup

How many of each position a manager can start, and how many starters a lineup needs in total. A manager who saves a lineup outside these bounds gets an Illegal team sheet error instead.

Automatic substitutions

If a starter records zero minutes, an automatic sub brings in a bench player in their place. This runs once the matchweek is over and every match has been counted — the same moment FPL applies its own, because "did he play at all" isn't a question you can answer on a Saturday afternoon. The substitute has to have played, and the eleven has to stay legal under your position rules. Locked lineups never block it.

Lineup lock

When a team sheet stops being editable for the week. Leave it on Never and lineups can be changed at any time, which is how this league has worked so far. A player who has already played is always frozen once a lock is switched on, whatever the clock says — you can't watch a striker score on Saturday and bench them on Sunday. Automatic substitutions are never blocked by this.

Waivers & free agents

A dropped player doesn't go straight back in the pool — they sit on waivers for a set period, and every claim made in that window is processed together at one time rather than first-come-first-served. Who wins a contested claim is what the waiver type decides. Once the period expires, whoever is left is a free agent and can be added instantly.

Season & playoffs

How long the regular season runs and how it's decided at the end. A Premier League season is 38 matchweeks, so the regular season plus the playoff rounds have to fit inside what's left of it.

Draft scoring

Every way a drafted player can earn or lose points. Change any value, or empty a box to stop scoring that rule — clear Clean sheet and it counts for nobody in this league, and drops out of the Draft tab's rules table too. Untouched rules follow the app defaults, so one added next season starts working here without you re-saving.

Matchups

Who plays whom, week by week, for the regular season set on the Season tab. Random builds a balanced round-robin schedule for you; Manual lets you set every week's pairings by hand. Either way you can open any week below and edit its matchups.

Rivals

Each pair here is guaranteed to play each other in week 1. Every other team is paired randomly for the rest of that week, and the remaining weeks randomize so everyone plays the same number of games. A team can only be part of one rivalry.

Which matches count for which week

Normally you never need this. A match counts for the gameweek it's played in, so a postponed game rearranged for December scores in December — giving that club two matches that week — and the week it left is simply a match short. That's how FPL works too.

Use this when you disagree: move a match to another week, or switch it off so it scores for nobody. Switching off is what to do with the second leg of a double gameweek your league doesn't want counted twice. Clubs playing twice in a week are flagged below.
